Zodiak Kids Studios signs Girls Can Vlog

Company to turn successful fiction franchise into a global TV series.

Zodiak Kids Studios has secured a TV deal for the new fiction series about teen vloggers, Girls Can Vlog.

Created by Ingrid Selberg, and co-developed and authored by Ingrid and Emma Young under the name ‘Emma Moss’, the series is aimed at aspiring young vloggers, following four friends who launch their own YouTube channel, Girls Can Vlog, where they document their lives online.

There is already a four-book deal in place with Macmillan Children’s Books, with the first in the series – Lucy Locket: Online Disaster – having been published in April 2016 and the second – Amazing Abby: Drama Queen – earlier this month.

There are two further titles scheduled for 2017, with each book containing tips and responsible guidance about starting your own vlog.

Jean-Philippe Randisi, ceo of Zodiak Kids, said: “We strongly believe the premise of Girls Can Vlog will resonate with kids’ and teens’ lives in a digital world and can’t wait to get started on developing Ingrid and Emma’s ideas into a global television series.”
