Winx Club turns 20 with raft of special activity planned

Rainbow’s hit Winx Club brand is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a number of special events and projects.

Promoting values of friendship, courage, commitment, generosity and optimism, the brand – featuring six fairy heroines: Bloom, Stella, Flora, Aisha, Muse and Tecna – debuted in Italian homes on 28 January 2004 on Rai 2.

Since then, Winx Club has gone on to become a global hit, popular among a wide age range – from preschool through to teenage – with a style that is constantly evolving from the first hand-drawn drawings to 3D animation.

Distributed in over 150 countries, Winx Club has eight animated TV series, two co-produced animated series with Netflix and two Netflix Original live action series, plus three animated feature films for cinema, live shows and international musicals.

Rainbow has confirmed that an animated reboot of the series is already in production, while it has also promised that 2024 will be full of special events and projects to help mark the 20th anniversary.
