WildBrain CPLG eyes growth in North American market

Former Beanstalk executive, Jasen Wright, joins senior leadership team to drive the agency’s expansion.

WildBrain CPLG is strengthening its global footprint and North American operations with the appointment of Jasen Wright as vp, North America.

In the newly created role, Jasen (pictured) will be responsible for driving the agency’s US efforts and expanding its portfolio of entertainment and lifestyle brands in the market.

He will be based in New York and reports to evp and md, Maarten Weck.

Jasen – who joins the company from Beanstalk where he was vp of licensing and brand management – will be looking to build WildBrain CPLG’s proprietary brands such as Strawberry Shortcake and Teletubbies, as well as expanding on relationships with partners including Square Enix and growing the lifestyle arm which includes the likes of Absolut, Malibu and Harvard and Yale universities.

Alyssa Gourlay – based in California – will report to Jasen and will continue developing new local opportunities as director of business development.

“As we continue extending our global reach and ensuring we have a robust presence in all corners of the world, the appointment of Jasen adds significant firepower to our global operations,” commented Maarten Weck, evp and md at WildBrain CPLG. “We have big plans for the North American market and with Jasen’s remarkable track record in building top-class consumer products programs, we know he’s the ideal candidate to fuel the growth and success of both WildBrain’s brands and our wider portfolio across the region.”
