Why we’re backing the B&LLAs 2017: Start Licensing

‘The brand licensing sector is in real growth’ says md Ian Downes.

The brand licensing sector seems to be one in real growth, which excites both licensees and retailers, says Start Licensing md Ian Downes.

Ian believes that brand licensing provides licensees with access to proven properties, with a track record of success and well-developed consumer audiences.

“For licensees looking to accelerate their company’s growth, brand licensing is a great marketing tool and there are now lots of success stories to point to,” Ian commented. “It is a cost effective way of securing retail listings and consumer take up. I think we can be optimistic that this is a licensing sector that will continue to grow in an dynamic and innovative way.”

Start Licensing is sponsoring Best Brand Licensed Children’s Product or Range at this year’s Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards.

Ian continued: “Being part of the B&LLAs allows us to confirm and underpin our commitment to the brand licensing sector. It is a business sector that we are 100% behind and believe that our skillsets are well suited to.

“We have recently started working with Nadiya Hussain and look forward to introducing Nadiya to the world of brand licensing. It is an exciting time to be involved in brand licensing and the B&LLAs is a fabulous showcase to be part of.”

The Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards takes place at The Dorchester, Park Lane on Thursday, April 27.

Other partners on board include headline sponsor Brand Licensing Europe, LIMA, TLC, CPLG, Beanstalk, Golden Goose, Pink Key Consulting, TLP, Happy Jackson, Octane 5, Brandgenuity Europe, The Smiley Company, House Beautiful and Country Living Magazine, PowerStation Studios, Corsair, Autumn Fair, Select Licensing and Monty Bojangles.
