We Love Cushions adds Alice Tait to roster

British illustrator’s designs to feature on new line following deal with Metrostar.

We Love Cushions is further expanding its licensed collections, teaming up with British illustrator Alice Tait for a new London-focused range.

The deal was secured by Metrostar with the range officially launching at Top Drawer earlier this month.

The Alice Tait London cushion collection captures Alice’s hand drawn illustrations of the sights and landmarks of the nation’s capital city, combining them with witty sayings such ‘I’d like Royal Treatment please’ and ‘Shall we Soldier on?’.

There are 18 double-sided cushions in the collection featuring landmarks such as the Tower of London, Big Ben and Tower Bridge.

Mark Turner, owner of We Love Cushions, commented: “This capsule collection allows us to engage with retailers who are tuned into providing a ’British’ themed offer across the UK to their customers, and offer a refined and beautiful choice to them.

“We are offering a new ‘gifting’ size with the range to increase their desirability. With the eyes of the world being focused on the UK for the Royal Wedding in May and the knock-on effect to tourism in London and across the UK, we are delighted that Alice has agreed to work with us on this range.”

Alice added: “I’m thrilled to add these fabulous cushions to my Alice Tait London collection. It’s a great time to celebrate all things British, so I’m excited to launch new designs from my style guide alongside my well loved ‘Map of London’.”
