Licensing Source Book is proud to be publishing a very special supplement alongside the summer issue, dedicated to one of the world’s leading art institutions, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam – home to the largest collection of Vincent van Gogh artworks in the world.
With 2.6 million Facebook followers and 2.3 million Instagram followers, the Museum has a truly global reach, something that’s reflected in its successful licensing programme.
The 16-page supplement takes a closer look at some of the Museum’s recent – and visually stunning – partnerships with FILA, Moleskine, Eastpak, Floral Street Fragrances (winner of a 2022 B&LLA for its Van Gogh-inspired Sunflower Pop! perfume) and other world-class brands, and uncovers the inspiration behind them, whether a quote from one of Vincent’s letters, his well-documented love of nature or his distinctive brush marks and colour palettes.
“Through his paintings, drawings, sketches and letters, Vincent offers new ways of seeing and new ways of doing, and we aim to stay true to that spirit of authenticity and bold creativity in our licensing programme,” commented Marijn Veraart, head of global licensing at Van Gogh Museum. “Each collaboration tells a fascinating story and helps us spread awareness of the Museum’s work and Vincent’s legacy far beyond these four walls, and we’d like to take this opportunity to offer a huge thank you to our fantastic licensing partners and wonderful local agents who make it all possible.”
