WBCP to open New York pop-up

Company teaming with Boomerang and BoxLunch for The Get Animated Invasion.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products is teaming up with Boomerang and BoxLunch for the launch of an experiential pop-up in New York.

Located in the SoHo district, the Get Animated Invasion will reimagine characters such as Bugs Bunny and Scooby-Doo all under one roof.

It will open from October 6-8, tying in with New York Comic Con.

Consumers will be transported into the world of Warner Bros. through interactive and photogenic installations that weave in and out of each cartoon realm.

Featured in the experiential space are Bugs’ Forest, Wile E.’s Cliff, the iconic Warner Bros. Water Tower, a Jetson’s screening room, Scooby-Doo’s Spooky Woods, The Flintstones Bedrock and Tom and Jerry’s house.

Boomerang will bring the animation to life and into the pop-up space, while BoxLunch will sell officially licensed animated merchandise at the shop, as well as featuring the products in-store at 74 destinations in the US and online from October 2.

Designed by brands such as Trunk, Junk Food and New Era among others, the collection includes apparel for men and women, bags and accessories, jewellery, novelty items and gifts.

“We’re excited for fans to experience this new creative way to step into the world of their favorite animated character,” said Pam Lifford, president of Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

“The Get Animated Invasion pushes the boundaries of fan engagement, blurring the lines between art, content and commerce.”
