Vans takes a bite out of Shark Week

New line of footwear and apparel launching in time for 31st annual event on Discovery Channel.

Vans is continuing with its high profile run of brand collaborations, revealing a new shark-themed line of kids and adult footwear, t-shirts and accessories launching in time for Shark Week.

Shark Week – which will air on Discovery Channel from Sunday July 28 to Sunday August 4 – has become an annual pop culture phenomenon, also spawning a heavyweight global merchandising programme.

The Vans collection will launch on July 1 in Vans stores, as well as Footlocker, Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters among others, available in a total of almost 600 stores worldwide.

It includes seven kids’ skus and two for adults, ranging in price from $28 up to $75.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Oceana, a charitable organisation dedicated to protecting and restoring the world’s oceans on a global scale, and Discovery’s charitable partner.
