V&A unveils Mulberry collaboration

Museum also confirms latest vintage from wine producer, Darioush, plus new Alice: Curiouser & Curiourser VR experience.

In celebration of its exhibition, Bags: Inside Out, the V&A has collaborated with British brand Mulberry on a capsule collection of leather bags and accessories.

Inspired by a 20th century floral furnishing fabric held in the museum’s archive, the opulent chinoiserie-style pattern features on some of Mulberry’s most iconic silhouettes including the Bayswater tote.

The collection will be available at the V&A and online at vam.ac.uk/shop and mulberry.com.

In addition, luxury wine producer Darioush has launched its latest vintage in collaboration with the museum.

Based in Napa Valley, California, the wine is available exclusively to Darioush’s ‘First Offering’ membership, a community of wine connoisseurs and collectors. The label for the upcoming 2018 Darius II  features John Henry Dearle’s 1890s masterpiece, Apple, originally designed for Morris & Co.

Finally, coinciding with the V&A’s upcoming 2021 exhibition, Alice: Curiouser & Curiouser, q new VR experience invites audiences to tumble down the rabbit hole and explore a fantastical world.

The result of an innovative partnership between the V&A and HTC Vive Arts, it features original artworks based upon Kristjana S Williams’ illustrations for the exhibition and accompanying book. Curious Alice is available to download through VIVEPORT and experience at home, at a cost of £4. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to experience a shorter version within the gallery.
