V&A teams with Twinings for China collaboration

British brands team for launch of limited edition gifts in the Chinese market.

The V&A has teamed up with British tea brand Twinings for the launch of a range of limited edition gifts in the Chinese market.

The V&A and Twinings share a connection through their respective relationships with Queen Victoria, who was instrumental in the foundation of the V&A and also granted Twinings its first Royal Warrant for tea in 1837.

The two brands have selected designs from the V&A archive to bring a touch of British design to tea time.

Featuring classic William Morris designs from the 19th century including the popular Strawberry Thief print, the limited-edition set includes a tea tin box, a mug and a card telling the story from the archive, with a tote bag also available to purchase.

The collaboration launched online in time for the key retail event Singles’ Day 11.11 on Twinings’ Weibo and WeChat channels and is available until the end of December.
