25 designs from competition winners go on sale worldwide from May 18.
Uniqlo is continuing to emphasis its licensing credentials, with its latest branded line launching this week – but there’s a twist, all the designs in the new Nintendo range have been submitted by fans.
The retailer ran a competition to find creative new t-shirt designs from Nintendo fans across the world, receiving over 16,000 entries.
The 25 winning designs have been turned into this year’s UTGP t-shirt collection, launching in stores and online from May 18. A special event will also be taking place on May 20 in London.
In addition, the top three competition winners – which were judged by the creator of Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto – each received cash prizes and signed Nintendo Switch consoles.
The designs have been inspired by the likes of Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Animal Crossing, Star Fox, Kirby, Splatoon and the Pokémon series.
