Uniqlo marks Star Wars at 40 with special range

Retailer teams up with three artists to create collection celebrating iconic brand.

Uniqlo is marking the 40th anniversary of the iconic Star Wars brand with a special collection of t-shirts.

The retailer has teamed up with three artists and illustrators to create the range, with includes 13 different designs of tees.

Each artist’s designs have been inspired by what the Star Wars brand means to them.

The artists include James Jarvis, whose work includes cartoons, comics, graphics, sculpture and printmaking; New York-based Kevin Lyons, whose ‘monster’ characters have appeared on products and murals worldwide (and who also collects Stormtroopers and AT-ATs); and Geoff McFetridge from Los Angeles, whose style is everywhere from trainer designs to museum walls.
