Uniqlo leaps in with Super Mario 35th anniversary collaboration

Retailer launches new collection celebrating classic video games character.

Uniqlo is continuing with its popular video game character collaborations, unveiling a new 35th anniversary collection celebrating Super Mario Bros.

Since its creation in 1985, Super Mario has appeared in numerous video games across many platforms, while also adorning a multitude of consumer products.

Uniqlo’s new range – available online while its stores remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic – features graphic prints of the character.

There are eight t-shirts for men and six t-shirts for children (aged from 3-13).

Uniqlo has enjoyed success with a number of collaborations with video games and related characters including with classic brand Tetris, as well as a tie-up in 2019 with Blizzard Entertainment featuring brands such as Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Diablo III, StarCraft II, Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone.
