UK tour dates confirmed for Twirlywoos Live

First ever live show for preschool brand will visit over 30 UK stages from February 2019.

The world of Twirlywoos is to come alive on stage after DHX Brands revealed the first ever live show for the preschool property.

Working with MEI Theatrical, the tour is scheduled to visit over 30 venues across the UK, starting from February 12, 2019 at Churchill Theatre in Bromley.

The show will star Toodloo, Great BigHoo, Chickedy, Chick and Peekaboo as they embark on a new adventure onboard their Big Red Boat and will feature inventive puppetry.

“The Twirlywoos have captured the hearts of preschoolers across the UK, and with the popularity of the brand’s TV show and toys, it was a natural next step to collaborate with a seasoned producer like MEI Theatrical to create a new stage show,” said Tom Roe, commercial director at DHX Brands. “Twirlywoos Live is a wonderful extension of the Twirlywoos brand, providing children and families with yet another avenue to connect with these beloved characters and forge lasting memories.”

Nick Larkin, creative producer at MEI, added: “We’re very excited to have been chosen to create a live experience with the ever-curious Twirlywoos. “Silly, fun and always full of surprises, Twirlywoos Live will enable us to engage with and entertain preschoolers.

“Watching little ones with so much excitement and wonder on their faces is part of the magic of working in children’s theatre, and we can’t wait to see the magic happen.”
