UK Greetings plays superhero with Marvel competition

Raft of activity planned to coincide with the release of Avengers: Infinity War.

UK Greetings is playing the ‘superhero’ to its retail customers, not just by giving away 400 of cinema tickets, but also initiating a search to find a £500 Golden Ticket.

To coincide with the cinema release of Avengers: Infinity War on April 26, UK Greetings has produced a specially designed 1ft FSDU filled with its bestselling Marvel greeting cards, including designs based on the new movie.

Certain to add further excitement, the publisher is giving away 400 free cinema tickets – two free tickets with the first 200 orders of the Avengers: Infinity War shipper.

Retailers have the option of using the tickets for their personal entertainment, or using for promotional purposes with their customers.

“The message is: get your orders in quick as they’re selling fast,” urges Gabriella Peace, communications manager for UKG. “We ran a similar promotion for Star Wars in September last year which sold out at lightning speed.”

UKG is also gearing up for a very active social media campaign around the cinema release.

As Gabriella explains: “We’ll be promoting the card product, raising awareness of the cinema ticket initiative and on Monday April 23 (the week of the film release) we’re running a Facebook competition giving away an Avengers card bundle and £100 Disney store voucher.”

In addition to its Marvel promotion, in April UKG is launching a Golden Ticket initiative where one lucky independent customer will receive an actual Golden Ticket in their order worth £500 (or euro equivalent).
