UK Greetings gives Boofle a makeover

Some 64 new card designs featuring sentiment brand rolling out this month.

UK Greetings is relaunching the Boofle brand this month, with a raft of new card designs, a new look and a range of gifts.

There are 64 new Birthday and Friendship designs using new formats, styles and imagery, plus pop up and lenticular designs.

The new look also features across key caption groups such as female, male, wedding and adult ages. Much of the new content is also culturally relevant, with Boofle posing for a selfie on Instagram and touching on popular topics like Great British Bake Off.

In addition, there is also a new gift collection, including gift sets, plush and keepsake plaques among other lines.

Susan Jones, brand development manager at UK Greetings, commented: “Boofle is so expressive – it’s easy to get a real sense of his personality. Consumers feel like they know him, which is unusual for a character that doesn’t have a TV or publishing presence.

“What he’s trying to say – whether he’s peeping out from behind a huge bunch of flowers or posing with his shades on – really comes across and this makes him all the more loveable. Consumers relate to his individuality in a market saturated with ‘me too’ bear.”

As well as new product, Boofle’s website and app are also having a makeover – the brand has over 1.2 million friends on social media with Boofle’s digital footprint reaching 4.8 million this year.
