Raft of product to hit shelves to tie in with new movie inspired by characters.
Global agent White Space Entertainment and sub-agent CPLG have brokered a raft of deals across Europe for the new UglyDolls movie from STX Entertainment.
New licensees signed to the franchise in the UK include Centum Publishing for book formats including movie novelisation and chapter books; Signature Publishing for a one-shot magazine; Spearmark International for lunchware and lighting; Danilo for a range of greeting cards and calendars; and Kokomo for health and beauty products.
In addition, Whitehouse Leisure will develop a range of amusement plush and novelty products, C&M Licensing will launch nightwear and underwear, while Roy Lowe is on board for socks, with further apparel deals in the final stages of negotiation.
Rainbow Productions will also be producing the costume characters and managing UK live appearances.
On top of this, Character World and BIP have signed multi-territory deals for bedding and home textiles, and confectionery respectively. Sambro is also on board for stationery, arts and crafts and bags for the UK and Benelux.
Meanwhile, in Benelux, Van der Erve, Jacob Company and Ben Veldkamp are on board, while Airval, Stor and Tasty & Unique have signed in Iberia.
Karactermania and KStationery will create back to school stationery and bags for Spain and Portugal; Penguin Random House will create a movie book and story books for Spain; NICI is on board for Germany and France; Stamatis will launch apparel, accessories and tableware for Greece; and Giovas will create back to school and stationery for Greece and Malta.

The UglyDolls movie is due to hit cinemas on May 3, 2019.
