Turtle Wax shines up new global licensing deals

Deals include Select Group of Companies for electronic and powered cleaners for the UK.

Global Icons is continuing to build the worldwide licensing programme for car care brand, Turtle Wax, securing a number of new deals.

The new signings include Select Group of Companies which will be focusing on electronic and powered cleaners from pressure washers, electronic polishers and handheld vacuum cleaners.

The line will launch in the UK by June.

In addition, JT Beaven has launched a range of brushes, cloths, sponges and towels across Europe, while, in the US, Turtle Wax has partnered with Argento SC to offer air fresheners, windshield wipers, safety and repair kits along with pet products which will extend the brand’s Odo-X technology.

Finally, to meet the growing demand in Asia, licensee Huabiao Industrial will release a line of interior accessories in China. The line of seat covers, floor mats, cushions and wiper blades will be available by the end of the year.

“We want the Turtle Wax licensing programme to have a global impact by scaling opportunities with key partners in markets that have increasingly seen a demand in the automotive culture,” said Jeff Lotman, ceo of Global Icons. “Our teams in the US, Europe and Asia have executed region specific opportunities that will capitalize on the GO MOMENT and trusted innovation of the brand.”

Daren Herbert, chief marketing officer at Turtle Wax, added: “We have been selective with our licensing efforts to ensure it meets the innovative, high- quality values that Turtle Wax is known for, as well as to ensure that the products meet the needs of our consumers in that marketplace. With our partners at Global Icons, we have achieved that goal.”
