TSBA Group adds Super Impulse to Top Trumps

Company to launch mini-versions of Top Trumps as part of World’s Smallest range.

TSBA Group has signed up Super Impulse to launch three mini-versions of Top Trumps as part of its World’s Smallest range.

Dinosaurs, Dogs and Sports Cars Top Trumps packs have all been shrunk to form part of the range, sitting alongside other bestselling toy and game brands including the World’s Smallest Care Bears and World’s Smallest Barbie.

Hannah Sweeney, head of brand partnerships at Top Trumps, said: “We’re excited to be working with the team at Super Impulse to launch the World’s Smallest retail range of Top Trumps, a brilliant novelty gift for any fan.”

TSBA debuted its representation of Top Trumps at last year’s Licensing Expo and has since been busy finalising the style guides. These cover both the current core Top Trumps brand and the retro Top Trumps brand featuring artwork and logos from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

The core Top Trumps brand has a strong emphasis on fun stats and facts, with key themes including dinosaurs, space, baby animals and predators, among others. The retro guide, meanwhile, focuses on the cool and nostalgic side of Top Trumps, utilising artwork from cult classic packs such as Fantasy, Horror and Crazy Cars.

Stephanie Freeman, head of licensing at TSBA Group, commented: “It’s a really exciting time for us to get on board with the Top Trumps brand. Working with such an evergreen brand is a great opportunity for us, and lends itself naturally to so many different categories.

“We can see huge potential in personalisation especially, a growing trend in the licensing industry. We’ve had some really positive responses already and can’t wait to see the brand grow further in 2018.”
