TRU teams with Mr Men for charity tote bags

88 stores will sell special bags in September to raise funds for Children with Cancer UK.

The Mr Men Little Miss brand is working with Toys R Us on a range of special tote bags which will be sold to raise funds for the Children with Cancer UK charity.

The collaborative fundraiser will see 88 Toys R Us stores around the country stocking the bags in September – which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Children with Cancer UK will receive 50p for every tote bag sold throughout the month.

Toys R Us has been working with Children with Cancer UK since 2012, raising over £300,000 to fund cutting edge research into childhood cancer.

Mr Men Little Miss teamed with the charity in 2016 and has since hosted a number of fundraising initiatives.

Jayne Falconer, major relationships manager at Children with Cancer UK, said: “We are delighted to create a new fundraiser with Toys R Us through the help of Mr. Men Little Miss.

“It is important for us to keep partnerships relevant and fresh, and Mr. Men Little Miss have enabled us to do this with some of our long-term partnerships, like Toys R Us.”

Jayne continued: “Through this commercial partnership, we can invest in further research into the causes and cures for childhood cancer, and ultimately save more young lives.”

Sabrina Segalov, licensing manager at Mr Men Little Miss, added: “Sadly, cancer touches most of our lives and we are really proud to be a part of all the amazing work children with cancer do such as the revolutionary launch of precision medicine in the UK.”
