TRAP targets London in Christmas raids

Organisation seizes counterfeit music merchandise in numerous raids in capital.

TRAP – the worldwide collective of rights holders and publishers which aims to protect the public from purchasing counterfeit products – has carried out a number of raids in central London in the run up to Christmas.

Working with global investigator and security consultants, Surelock, and City of Westminster Trading Standards, TRAP has seized a plethora of bootleg music merchandise.

As part of the Westminster Zero Tolerance campaign before Christmas, several locations were raided in and around Shaftesbury Avenue, Oxford Street, Leicester Square and Queensway.

The raids resulted in TRAP and Surelock seizing thousands of counterfeit music merchandise such as t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, mobile phone covers and calendars.
