Totally Spies captures new representation for the US and Italy

Banijay Kids & Family has confirmed the appointment of Carlin West Agency (CWA) and VLM Licensing & Consulting as agents for the Totally Spies! brand in the US and Italy respectively.

The ‘spy-fi’ animation returned to screens this year following an 11-year hiatus and stars secret agents Sam, Clover and Alex, as they embark on a big move to a new city and take on a fresh crop of bizarre villains.

Season 7 launched in France on Gulli (M6) in May and will air around the world on Discovery Kids LatAm, and Warner Bros. Discovery across EMEA and the US. Last month Gulli and Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA confirmed season 8, plus Amazon has unveiled development on a young adult live-action adaptation of Totally Spies! with Amazon MGM Studios, Banijay Kids & Family, and Jessica Elbaum and Will Ferrell’s Gloria Sanchez Productions.

“What a year so far for Totally Spies,” enthused Roubina Tchoboian, head of global licensing at Banijay Kids & Family. “It has such broad appeal across generations, from long-time fans to new young audiences, and with an incredibly healthy pipeline of content, it is only growing in appeal for the licensing community. CWA and VLM are well-established forces in the industry, and perfectly placed to further strengthen the Totally Spies! brand in the US and Italy.”

Laurie Windrow, svp of licensing and marketing of CWA, added: “Totally Spies! is loved by multiple generations of fans making it the perfect fit for the licensing community clamouring for nostalgic brands. We are thrilled to represent this iconic series.”

Valentina La Macchia, founder of VLM Licensing & Consulting, continued: “The new adventures of the Spies offers highly appealing content and values which captivates the Generation Alpha audience. We are thrilled to work on this brand, which includes a strong call to action for merchandising, providing us with numerous opportunities to create unique products for kids.”
