Top Trumps readies new edition honouring key and essential workers

New game applauds the frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A new Top Trumps deck is due to launch on Monday May 4, honouring the key and essential workers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new edition – Top Trumps Britain at its Best: Key Workers – applauds those professions which have been working to keep the country moving over these past months ranging from doctors and nurses through to pest controllers, midwives, sea merchants, politicians, journalists and even the partners of key workers (who are also putting themselves at risk, albeit indirectly).

The 30 different professions are each marked in typical Top Trumps style across four scoring categories: Unsung Heroes, Street Style, Gadgets & Gizmos and Originated.

Claire Simon, global marketing manager at Top Trumps, commented: “We are sure that this new edition of Top Trumps can lift spirits in this very challenging and unprecedented period of time, as well as raising money for the NHS, with all net proceeds going direct to the NHS.”

The pack will be priced at £5 and will be available exclusively from www.winningmoves.co.uk. It comes in a twin deck with Top Trumps Britain at its Best: Hospitals. The whole project – from concept to completion – is 100% British with the cards being manufactured by The St Austell Printing Company in Cornwall.

The £5 price for both packs include postage and packaging, with Top Trumps stating that £1.50 from each dual deck sold will go to the NHS.
