tonies unveils raft of new licensed partnerships

Children’s audio system, tonies has kicked off a bumper month of new launches leading up to Easter including a host of licensed names.

The new arrivals include a Mr Men Little Miss series with titles focusing on Mr Tickle, Mr Strong and Little Miss Sunshine.

Meanwhile, for slightly older children there is a series of National Geographic titles including Dinosaur, Astronaut, Whale and Penguin.

Within tonies’ Disney licence new launches include Toy Story 2, Disney Baby Lullabies and Disney Cars 2, while Kate Winslet brings to life an abridged version of The Faraway Tree series, written by Enid Blyton.

The Little Prince and Spirit Untamed complete the new licensed launches, while there is also a selection of classic fairytales including Little Red Riding Hood.

“We are delighted to welcome such a wide-range of fantastic new content to tonies this spring,” commented Liz Peters, head of portfolio UK & IR at tonies. “We’re proud to welcome the iconic Mr. Men Little Miss series to the Toniebox, as well as expanding our popular range of fairy tales, children’s classics and Disney favourites. We’re hugely excited about our new partnership with National Geographic Kids, which is set to inspire and ignite the explorer in every child.

“We’ve worked with some top voice over talent to record these audio productions, including Kathryn Drysdale, of recent Bridgerton fame and beloved British actress Kate Winslet. There’s something to excite and entertain every child this month at tonies.”

Silvia Figini, coo at Sanrio EMEA, India and Oceania and Mr Men Worldwide, added: We are happy to partner with tonies to see Mr. Men Little Miss stories transposed into a new educational, fun and innovative format. We are confident that the timeless iconicity of Roger Hargreaves’ stories, combined with this immediate and accessible technology, will thrill children and parents alike.”
