TOMY ties Aquadoodle and Virgin Atlantic

Toy company has also expanded brand into licences including Frozen and Peppa Pig.

TOMY is backing its Aquadoodle range with a new partnership with Virgin Atlantic.

The line – which has recently welcomed licences including Frozen, Minnie Mouse and Peppa Pig to its Travel Doodle Bags – will be the focus of the ‘Summer of Aquadoodle’ campaign, running through July and August.

Officially launching on Friday July 29, TOMY will host a one-day takeover at Gatwick airport.

The Aquadoodle team will be entertaining Virgin Atlantic customers with on the spot giveaways and games while they wait to check in. TOMY has also supplied the airline with a selection of products from Aquadoodle’s travel range featuring Doodle bags for on-board sampling.

As part of the campaign, TOMY has collaborated with family vloggers Kidzcoolit.com, sending them on a once in a lifetime trip to Disney World Orlando. Aquadoodle Ambassadors, Nick and Rebecca will be documenting all the action from their trip to Orlando with the Frozen and Colour Doodle Bags.

The activity has also been supported through an online partnership with Virgin Atlantic Flying Club’s monthly newsletter, Well Red. The digital promotion launched last week and offers Flying Club’s 1.3 million UK members the chance to win a money can’t buy experience at Hamleys flagship store on Regent Street courtesy of Aquadoodle.

Camilla MacQueen, UK brand manager, said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Virgin Atlantic.

“Aquadoodle is a priority brand this year and our campaign with Virgin Atlantic showcases the variety of travel friendly products available. It also demonstrates the benefits of travelling with the Travel Doodle Bags first hand and allows us to reach new customers.”
