Tim Collins joins CHF Media Group board

Respected exec becomes non-executive director as company eyes expansion.

Respected industry veteran Tim Collins has joined the CHF Media Group’s board as a non-executive director, as the kids’ indie looks to expand into new areas.

Tim (pictured) has been advising companies in the CHF Media Fund on options for IP development and exploitation, so it was a logical move to appoint him to the board, according to ceo Adrian Wilkins.

Prior to establishing his consultancy, The Brand Director, Tim held senior roles at companies including Universal, DreamWorks, HIT, Endemol and DC Thomson.

The CHF Media Group has recently been restructured to simplify the business and will focus on developing and funding new kids projects, as well as being open to international co-productions and a wider range of partnerships.

Tim will be at the Children’s Media Conference this week (July 2-4), pitching a number of shows in the CHF Media stable.

“The Board are delighted to welcome Tim to the company,” said Adrian. “With his range of experience in developing and managing IP, he is going to be essential to our future plans as we ramp up development and launch new kids shows.”

Tim added: “I met Adrian at a prior CMC event and was very impressed with his approach and felt that there is a real opportunity to combine the fundraising skills with a strong development brief to become a much larger player in the kids TV marketplace.”
