This is Iris welcomes Deer Little Forest

Agency to bring arts and lifestyle brand to the UK and Eire following deal with Koko Rose Media.

This is Iris has joined the network of licensing agents handling the art and lifestyle brand, Deer Little Forest – bringing the property to the UK and Eire.

The property – which was created by Jo Rose and features an esoteric collection of mischievous animal characters and nature-inspired designs – now has a presence in 29 countries, with agents across Europe, North America and Asia.

All Deer Little Forest rights are held by Koko Rose Media, a joint venture between md Lisa Hryniewicz and creative director Jo. International licensing rights are managed by: Brand Licensing by Burda (Germany and GST); Icon Company (Russia, CIS); Think Tank Emporium (US & Canada); and Empire Multimedia (China, South Korea, South East Asia).

Deer Little Forest has been licensed across stationery, housewares, digital games and magazines. An ambitious publishing plan is underway, with a picture book being developed in partnership with Ingrid Selberg (former md of Simon & Schuster) and Margaret Hope (former art director at Random House, Simon & Schuster and the BBC).

A new series of baby book concepts also launched to great acclaim at this year’s Bologna Children’s Book Fair.

Sarah Lawrence, md of This is Iris, commented: “We are thrilled to be working with Koko Rose Media and Deer Little Forest.

“Jo’s distinctive art style has already attracted many key partners across the world with key categories such as publishing already under development.

“These loveable woodland creatures immediately lend themselves to a number of possible collaborative opportunities with greetings cards, calendars and stationery already under discussion.”

Lisa Hryniewicz, md of Koko Rose Media, added: “We could not be happier to be partnering with Sarah and her hugely talented team; their beautifully curated catalogue of IPs is the perfect home for Deer Little Forest.”
