“This is definitely a collectables era”

The Entertainer’s Tracey Stevens talks the trends which are performing well for the retailer.

Toy retailer The Entertainer is enjoying the fruits of a buoyant collectables market and is confident of more to come.

Buying administrator Tracey Stevens – pictured above (second right) with colleagues (left to right) Lauren Skeath, Clare Davis and Anna Shepard – spoke to Licensing Source Book as part of the judging of the product categories for this year’s Licensing Awards.

“This is most definitely a ‘collectables’ era – L.O.L. Surprise being a prime example,” Tracey commented. “I predict we will see a lot more licensing action on the Squidgies front as kids love them.”

When asked what else was performing well at the retailer, Tracey added: “We also are seeing great traction from Nickelodeon’s Slime. It appeals as it is such fun and a great reason get messy.”
