The Toy Store shows licensing commitment

New Bond Street retailer bringing product to life with dedicated areas in-store.

It may be new to the UK retailing scene, but The Toy Store is showing its commitment to licensed product, featuring a swathe of dedicated in-store areas to key characters.

Paddington Bear is currently doing his best to steal the show in the Bond Street outlet.

A dedicated area on the ground floor showcases Rainbow Designs’ Paddington Classic and Movie toy collections. The area has been brought to life with a Paddington Station backdrop and a life-size statue of Paddington for customers to have their photos taken with.

The Toy Store, which made the move from Dubai to the UK in September, is known for its focus on in-store theatre and consumer experience.

Gareth Davies Marriott, general manager for The Toy Store, said: “The Paddington area in our store is creative and true to the original theme. You can almost smell the marmalade sandwiches.”
