Natural fast food chain has appointed the ambitious company as brand extension agency.
The first fruits of the relationship between retail brand partnership specialist The Point.1888 and naturally fast food chain LEON are coming to fruition, with an exclusive cookware collection due to launch in John Lewis.
The range will launch on September 5 and has been designed to make it easy for everyone to eat good food at home, as well as on the go.
The 40 piece collection features bold colours and iconic LEON designs. It includes utensils and staples such as a cast iron griddle pan and cookware toolset, plus a cast iron buffet pan, terracotta tapas dishes and other products to generally help consumers store, pour, explore and enjoy food.
Will Stewart, md of The Point.1888, explained: “LEON has been an incredible success story and is a personal favourite, both due to its incredible menu and cookbooks but also its clear brand identity and potential for strategic partnerships.
“We are honoured to be partnering with LEON to help extend their Naturally Fast Food Vision into new product categories.”
Rebecca Di Mambro, innovation manager at LEON, added: “At LEON we are passionate about our food, where it comes from, how it is produced and presented. But we also want make it easy for everyone to eat good food at home as well as on the go.
“The Point.1888 recognised our passion and spotted a potential partner in John Lewis, who share our principles and values. Point.1888 identified a gap in the market for beautiful and functional cookware and, between us all, we have created a range we’re incredibly proud of and can’t wait to launch in September.”
Nicola Hattersley, cookshop buyer for John Lewis, continued: “John Lewis and LEON are a great match as we have a shared passion for developing inspiring products for our customers. It was important to myself and John [Vincent, founder of LEON] to develop a range that is anchored in preparing and cooking food and not just a decorative collection.”
LEON and The Point.1888 will be launching further cookware in spring/summer 2017 and expanding into tabletop in the next 18 months.
