The Point.1888 expands Barratt offering

The Barratt sweet brand has expanded its licensed product offering by adding seven new licensees to its existing portfolio.

Trederwen Springs launched its Wham and Fruit Salad flavoured Natural Spring Water in April and sales have been phenomenal with retailers placing repeat orders within weeks of the launch, while World of Sweets is producing an innovative range of Ice Poles featuring two distinct colours in each Ice Pole. The Ice Poles are available in four flavours Wham, Fruit Salad, Refresher and Dib Dab.

This week also saw the launch of Flump and Fruit Salad cupcakes by Cake Crew at the Co-op.

CRC Innovations (hot chocolate and milkshakes), Asvina (biscuits, cakes, spreads, jelly and dessert mixes) and Whatever Brands (fizzy drinks) are also on board.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to announce some fantastic new products to add to the Barratt offering,” commented Bethan Garton, cco at The Point.1888. “It’s been truly amazing to see the amount of innovation that has gone into the products, focused on delivering a product that allows Barratt’s iconic flavours to shine through. The Barratt portfolio offers so many options to licensees as it stretches from the Wham bar to Poppets and Flumps. There really is something for everyone.”

Phil Holford, head of brands at Valeo Confectionery – which owns the Barratt brand – added: “We are currently riding one of the hottest trends for the food and beverage industry, as consumers look for something new and surprising related to their childhood favourites. Barratt offers licensees, and in turn consumers, an array of iconic flavour profiles loaded with memories. It’s a great time to be involved and we’re delighted with the success we have seen so far.”
