The Little Prince licensing drive begins with Hype deal

Those Licensing People secures greeting cards licence for literary classic.

Those Licensing People has kickstarted the licensing programme for literary classic, The Little Prince.

TLP – which is the UK sub agent for LPP612 – has secured a greeting cards deal with Hype.

The collaboration will see Hype develop a range of paper products including greeting cards, gift wrap and postcards in its signature boutique style.

The first products from the range will launch in time for the key Christmas period.

“Hype have a fantastic history of working with classic literature brands and there’s a wonderful synergy between their design style and the original Little Prince illustrations in that they are both beautifully simple, but very effective,” said Leah Dever, licensing manager at TLP.

Tying in with the launch of Hype’s range, The Little Prince has also been adapted for the stage, with a new dance production due to take place at London theatre, The Place.

The classic Antoine de Saint-Exupery tale is brought to life using choreographer Luca Silvestrini’s award winning mix of dance, humour and spoken word.

Performances begin on December 17 and run until Christmas Eve (December 24).
