Last night’s Summer Treasure Hunt in aid of The Light Fund was another roaring success, with the event raising well over £6,000 for the industry charity.
Over 200 industry executives – from companies including Bioworld, Vivid Goliath, FOCO, Netflix, Misirli, Sanrio, Layer Licensing, Dependable Solutions, Funko, Trends UK, Fashion UK, Jazwares, Riverside Brands, Barb Licensing, Mattel, CAA, Beanstalk, Amscan, Rocket Licensing, Walker Books, Max Publishing, Rainbow Productions, Danilo, Imagin8, Retail Monster, Acamar, Rainbow Designs, Hasbro, Paramount, ZAG and more – headed to Holborn’s Sway Bar to follow the specially created map with a series of questions and challenges.
Two teams tied in the top position with 56 points – Three Degrees from Kevin Bacon and BLE No Mates. They faced a tie-break question of when was The Light Fund started, with the trio of ladies from Three Degrees from Kevin Bacon (pictured above from left Jo Cassidy, Tracey Stratton and Denise Penn) winning out with the closest answer of 2003* and taking home the coveted treasure chest.
At the other end of the table was Meet the FOCOs, who managed just 28 points and picking up the specially designed wooden spoon.
Brand Licensing Europe 2023 and The Entertainer were co-headline sponsors of the event, with map sponsors including ZAG, Penguin Ventures, Aykroyds, Reemsborko, Start Licensing and Brands Untapped.
(* For those wondering, The Light Fund was started in 2004.)
