The Lagoon Group extends its Rubik’s offering

Licensee makes move into wood and wire puzzles with popular brand.

The Lagoon Group has extended its popular Professor Rubik’s line into wood and wire puzzles.

The new additions – which were successfully showcased at Spring Fair earlier this month – include a range of bamboo puzzles; the Rubik’s Square (a wooden square number puzzle with three levels of difficulty); and a range of wire puzzles with three levels of difficulty and a display of 36 tabletop wire puzzles.

In addition, the company has also launched two new titles from its Professor Rubik deskblock collection – Optical Illusions and Lateral Thinking Puzzle a Day.

“It’s great to see the continued success of this Professor Rubik concept, which was created and conceived by Smiley ceo and creative director Nicolas Loufrani as part of our brand extension strategy to grow the Rubik’s brand,” said Lori Heiss-Tiplady, vp brand strategy at The Smiley Company. “We’ve worked closely with Lagoon to create an innovative range of products that brings together the marriage of art and intelligence through beautiful vintage designs and mind-bending play.”
