The Insights People adds new faces and office space

Expansion continues apace for company behind Kids Insights and Parents Insights research.

The Insights People is continuing with its ambitious expansion plans with a number of promotions, new appointments and a move to new office space.

The company – which is behind the Kids Insights and Parents Insights research which is featured on Source and sister publication PreschoolNews.net – has promoted Jenny Kieras to the role of chief operating officer after playing an instrumental role in leading the business through a sustained period of growth. Jenny was previously general manager at the company.

In addition, Jonathan Watson has been promoted from product manager to chief product officer, where he will oversee the future development of The Insights People’s portal and the creation of the 48 insight reports produced each year.

On top of this, experienced toy industry executive David Martin has joined as chief commercial officer, bringing with him experience from Crayola, Funrise and KD Group.

David will be responsible for driving further growth, as well as working closely with the research team to develop the next generation of services that the company plans to launch later this year.

Over in the US, kids and family researcher Amy Henry arrives as a US insights and strategy specialist and will use her experience to expand the company’s offering in North America.

The company has also brought in Alex Rapley as client services manager, who will be responsible for leading client development and management, and Tom Musk as head of content, who will oversee the company’s content, PR and social channels.

Expanding the team means the company has outgrown its current Northern Quarter premises, so it is relocating to a new office on Oxford Street in central Manchester.

“2019 is going to be an extremely exciting year as we continue to grow and expand, and these additions and promotions are going to be key in helping us reach our ambitious targets,” said Nick Richardson, chief executive of The Insights People (pictured). “I am particularly delighted to welcome David, as his arrival is a further demonstration of our ambition to become the global leading specialist in kids’ market intelligence – a vision we are hard at work on and hope to achieve in the very near future.”
