The B&LLAs 2018: The Property winners

V&A, Laura Ashley, Goodyear, Jelly Belly and Sara Miller London all honoured.

The Property categories at the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards were hotly contested, with some high profile heritage, lifestyle, food and beverage, talent and fashion brands nominated.

First was Best Licensed Heritage or Institution Brand 2018 (sponsored by Brand Licensing Europe), with the V&A being crowned – the museum’s third award of the afternoon.

A delighted Alice Molyneaux, senior brand licensing manager for the V&A (pictured), said: “It’s absolutely amazing to pick up three trophies! We’ve had an incredible year in terms of launches and this is a true credit to working with the right partners in the right areas.”

Best Licensed Lifestyle Brand 2018 (sponsored by PowerStation Studios) was won by Laura Ashley.

Licensing manager Poppy Lawton told The Source: “Laura Ashley is overjoyed to have won the Best Licensed Lifestyle Brand award. It is testament to the hard work of the licensing team and each and everyone of our licensing partners. Their dedication and hard work in ensuring that all our collections stay true to our brand and heritage is second to none.

“It is fantastic that the industry has recognised Laura Ashley in this way. This was our first year attending the awards ceremony and we will be sure to enter again next year!”

Best Licensed Non-Food Brand 2018 (sponsored by Those Licensing People) was awarded to Goodyear.

Mara Verzé, licensing director at Goodyear’s agency, IMG, offered: “This is a team effort and we’re really proud. We can’t wait to share this with everyone at Goodyear.”

Best Licensed Food or Beverage Brand 2018 (sponsored by Corsair Lifestyle) was won by Jelly Belly.

Angela Farrugia, evp group managing director of CAA-GBG – Jelly Belly’s licensing agency – commented: “Over the last 16 years of representing the Jelly Belly brand, we have constantly pushed the boundaries and they have been a brilliant partner. We now have unveiled our Jelly Belly ice- cream stores in Dubai and the bar has been set even higher. It’s a privilege to represent Jelly Belly and we are incredibly proud that they won this award.”

The final award of the category was Best Licensed Fashion or Talent Brand 2018 (sponsored by Autumn Fair & Spring Fair). Sara Miller London emerged victorious, with a stunned Sara saying: “This is overwhelming and I’m very proud.”
