French doll brand to make licensing foray ahead of 40th anniversary celebrations.
Classic French doll brand Corolle is making the move into licensing, appointing TF1 Licences to manage its licensing rights.
With the property ready to mark its 40th anniversary, TF1 Licences will be responsible for maintaining Corolle’s reputation and brand image through an ambitious licensing programme.
Having launched in 1979, Corolle has sold around 40 million units worldwide, with the brand distributed in some 20 countries (being particularly popular in Europe and the US), with exports representing 35% of sales.
“We are delighted to start a collaboration with TF1 Licences,” said Muriel Joron, marketing director at Corolle. “The team has immediately grasped the essence of the Corolle brand and offered us ambitious development prospects that were 100% in line with our DNA.
“In addition, the power of TF1’s group is a real asset in developing Corolle’s visibility and integrating it into the family’s daily life beyond the toy world.”
Marina Narishkin, ceo of TF1 Licences, added: “My entire team is delighted to be working on Corolle’s licensing rights. It is an iconic brand from the toy world that has been contributing to the development of children for years.
“Thanks to Corolle, they learn simple gestures, enrich themselves and cultivate a taste for taking care of others. We are pleased to support this brand that makes sense for us in its modernisation.”
