Teletubbies to join CBeebies Land line-up

New live show featuring characters will be exclusive to guests at Alton Towers Resort.

The Teletubbies will be arriving at CBeebies Land from April, further bolstering the line-up at the Staffordshire theme park.

The characters will be performing a new live show – exclusive to guests at the Alton Towers Resort.

The twice-daily performances in Big Fun Showtime will see children and families join Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po in a musical extravaganza entitled Teletubbies Big Band Live Show.

Guests will also have the chance to meet and greet the characters each day following the performances.

The addition of the Teletubbies to the line-up follows yesterday’s news (March 4) of the opening of the new Peter Rabbit Hippity Hop ride on March 23.

“We are really excited to further extend the fun-packed programme of entertainment and rides in CBeebies Land and bring to life even more TV favourites to captivate the imaginations of children,” said James Walker, marketing director for Alton Towers Resort.

Natasha Spence, live entertainment at BBC Studios, added: “CBeebies Land offers a brilliant opportunity for young children and their families to experience hands-on some of their favourite CBeebies shows and characters.

“The addition of the new Peter Rabbit ride and the exclusive Teletubbies live show is incredibly exciting and adds to what already is a rich portfolio of children’s brands.”
