Teletubbies Songtime heads to Vue cinemas

Hour-long musical feast will arrive at 90 venues nationwide from June 7.

DHX Brands is teaming up with Vue Entertainment for a special ‘singalong extravaganza’ for Teletubbies fans.

The new 60-minute show – called Teletubbies Songtime – brings five favourite episodes of the Cbeebies series to the big screen for the first time.

It will be shown at Vue’s 90 venues around the UK and Ireland from June 7.

Fans will be able to watch music and dance-themed Teletubbies episodes Tickly, Big Dance, Music, Conga and Party, singing along to nursery rhymes including Old MacDonald and Row Row Row Your Boat among others, as well as the characters own original tune, Big Hugs.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for Teletubbies fans to sing and dance in the aisles while enjoying an hour of fantastic family fun to kick off the summer,” said Laura Brennan, brand manager at DHX Brands. “Vue’s big screens provide the perfect setting for a loud, lively and larger-than-life Teletubbies experience.”

Johnny Carr, event cinema manager at Vue Entertainment, added: “We’re delighted to be bringing the Teletubbies to our venues this spring.

“This one-hour show is the perfect introduction to the magic of the big-screen experience for pre-school children and we look forward to welcoming families to enjoy it.”
