Agency on board as exclusive brand licensing representative for children’s and educational products.
The Point.1888 has been appointed as the exclusive brand extension partner for Tate Enterprises.
The ambitious agency will be targeting children’s and educational products, with a brief to identify and contract a range of licensees with which Tate Enterprises – which is the trading company of the Tate Gallery – will work to create an exciting range of products aimed at children and families.
As well as building new long-term partnerships, The Point.1888 will also expand current partnerships such as Dr Martens.
Bethan Garton, retail and brand director at The Point.1888, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be appointed to represent such a prestigious client. The collection is phenomenal and has a vast archive of assets.
“We will be targeting long-term, high quality manufacturers across a range of categories for all retail channels, the Tate brand should be accessible to all.”
John Stachiewicz, publishing and business director at Tate Enterprises, added: “The team at The Point.1888 impressed us with their energy, enthusiasm and knowledge of the market and we look forward to working closely with them to bring the internationally renowned Tate brand to a broad audience.”
Royalty income generated by the licensing programme will go towards supporting the galleries.
