Sweet Cherry Publishing adds ten new books for Geronimo Stilton

News comes shortly after the independent children’s publisher was awarded Midland’s Small Press of the Year at The British Book Awards 2021.

Sweet Cherry Publishing is gearing up to release ten new children’s books from Italian licensed property, Geronimo Stilton next month.

The news follows shortly after the independent children’s publisher was awarded Midland’s Small Press of the Year at The British Book Awards 2021, as well as being nominated in the Best Written Range category at The Licensing Awards 2020.

The humorous fiction stories – licensed to Sweet Cherry for the UK market by Atlantyca Entertainment – are based on an Italian ‘scaredy mouse’ journalist who finds himself in some unfortunate situations.

The brand has sold over 175 million Geronimo Stilton books worldwide in 51 languages.

“We’re grateful for the continued support from Atlantyca and are proud to showcase brand licensing in the Midlands,” commented Cecilia Bennett, md at Sweet Cherry. “The demand for lighthearted humorous fiction is growing and we’re delighted to publish more books in this series.”

The fourth series of books see Geronimo Stilton visit a dojo in Japan, get spooked out by an Egyptian mummy at the local ‘mouseum’ and take part in a bicycle race in America. The books include real-life facts to support Geronimo’s global adventures, along with black and white illustrations and quirky fonts to engage reluctant readers.

The ten new titles will be published in paperback, along with a ten-book box set, on 27 May 2021.
