Surtex outlines 2019 plans as dates switch

Art and design licensing show will move to a new February slot next year.

Emerald Expositions – the organiser of art and design licensing show, Surtex – has revealed a new leadership team for the event, ahead of its move to a new February slot in 2019.

The popular show will run from February 3-5 2019 at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center in New York, co-located with both NY NOW Winter and the National Stationery Show.

Now in place are Kevin O’Keefe, evp; John Stuttard, svp and group show director; and Meg Estevez, vp of marketing. The trio have more than 50 years of combined trade show, event marketing and B2B experience.

“The team is poised to lead Surtex to a very successful premier in its new date pattern,” explained Kevin. “The earlier timeframe presents a number of opportunities for Surtex exhibitors, including cross-over attendees of textile, the fashion industry and home accessory product developers and manufacturers from NY NOW.”

More than five million targeted marketing messages highlighting Surtex to the expanded audience of 30,000+ brand buyers and licensees attending NY NOW – as well as NYC’s fashion industry designers who are sourcing new product concepts during this timeframe – should bring Surtex exhibitors a notable upsurge in attendees.

Additionally, the February show dates offer more opportunities for Surtex exhibitors to collaborate with licensees much earlier in the cycle.
