Studiocanal dates Paddington 2 in the UK

Eagerly awaited movie sequel will arrive on November 24, 2017.

With the first movie having grossed almost $270 million worldwide, all eyes are on the sequel to Paddington – and Studiocanal this week confirmed in Cannes it will arrive in the UK in November 2017.

According to Variety, Studiocanal made the announcement ahead of the Cannes Film Festival, also confirming that production will begin in October.

Studiocanal’s Rodolphe Buet said that Paddington 2 will be released on November 24, 2017 in the UK.

Ben Whishaw (Paddington), Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins are all expected to reprise their roles, while Paul King will once again direct.

The first Paddington movie became the UK’s biggest grossing movie of 2014. It also significantly bolstered an already healthy consumer products programme around the Michael Bond creation.
