New launches and evergreen favourites continue to boost children’s magazine sector.
Redan Publishing and Egmont Publishing are celebrating another successful round of ABC figures today – both being buoyed by evergreen favourites and new launches.
Redan saw its Peppa Pig Bag-O-Fun Magazine record its highest ever ABC result at 83,057 – up 18% in circulation on the same time last year.
In an increasingly competitive market the preschool specialist’s other titles also turned in strong performances. Compilation title Fun To Learn Favourites saw a year-on-year increase of 22% to 38,166, while Sparkle World retained its place as number one multi-character title for primary girls with an ABC of 46,322.
Meanwhile, Egmont saw strong debut figures for new launches PAW Patrol (49,024) and Finding Dory (33,002).
As well as new titles, LEGO Star Wars continued its strong performance with 25.7% year on year growth, and Disney’s Frozen continued to have the highest ABC figure in the children’s market at 82,009.
Egmont’s evergreen title, Thomas & Friends also maintained a strong position in the preschool sector, up 2.3% period on period to 40,056.
