Dissero Brands appoints agency to handle animal photography property in the UK and Ireland.
Start Licensing has bolstered its portfolio with the addition of the Rachael Hale brand.
The agency has been appointed to represent the property – which comprises 2,500 original photographs featuring dogs, cats, farm animals and exotic animals – by Dissero Brands.
The brand already has a base of 130 licensees from over 50 countries.
Start Licensing will be taking over the UK market for Rachael Hale from Richard Horton, who has successfully managed it for a number of years but is now retiring.
Richard leaves the brand in a strong position with licensees including WPL (greeting cards), Danilo (calendars), Igloo Books (publishing), Noveltex (bedding), Funky Pigeon (personalised products) and Pyramid (posters).
Start Licensing will be looking to develop areas including apparel, wall art, pet accessories, food gifting, exhibitions and promotional and charity partnerships.
Md Ian Downes commented: “I’ve always admired Rachael Hale and it’s a great opportunity for Start Licensing to take over the management of such an iconic brand.
“There’s been a good track record of success in the UK and we’re looking forward to developing things further.”
David Todd from Dissero Brands added: “We are thrilled to have an award-winning licensing agency representing us in the UK and Ireland markets – it feels like a good fit for the Rachael Hale brand.”
