US sock brand takes first foray into the football arena with new partnership.
US sock brand, Stance has revealed its latest partnership – teaming up with FC Barcelona for its first foray into the football arena.
The limited edition Stance x FC Barcelona range will include a three-sock drop, inspired by the red and blue striped kit of the five-times Champions League winners.
Designed collaboratively between the teams in Barcelona and at Stance’s headquarters in Southern California, the socks feature the club’s iconic colours and crest, as well as its motto ‘Més que un club’ (more than a club).
“At Stance we are always looking to open the door to creativity and self-expression and so a collaboration with FC Barcelona, a club which celebrates on-pitch creativity like no other, was a nobrainer for us,” explained John Wilson, ceo at Stance. “We are proud to be partnering with a club which refuses to stand still and has revolutionised the world of football more than any other team in recent history.
“We also wanted to champion not only the football club but one of the world’s most inspiring cities and its residents. Stance’s roots are found within the sub-cultures of communities and the creativity that comes from the streets of Barcelona also deserves to be celebrated.”
Stance has previously enjoyed successful partnerships with NFL, NBA and MLB, as well as a number of character brands.
