Sponsors line up for Light Fund Golf Day

MV Sports, Keith Chapman Productions, Aardvark Swift pledge support to May 12 event.

A number of sponsors have backed next week’s industry golf day in aid of The Light Fund, offering a selection of prizes for the winners.

MV Sports has donated four golf bags, while Keith Chapman Productions has donated American Golf gift vouchers.

In addition, Aardvark Swift has sponsored the trophies for the winning individuals and teams.

The event is also being supported by a host of big name licensors, licensees and retailers from across the industry.

Execs from the companies including Tesco, eOne, Character Options, Nickelodeon. Mothercare, Bulldog, Lisle International, Blues Clothing, 20th Century Fox, Amscan, Helix Trading, Aykroyd & Sons, Turner, Spearmark, FremantleMedia, Fashion UK, CPLG, Kinnerton, Penguin Ventures, Mattel and The RFU among others are all taking part.

The event takes place on Thursday May 12 at The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club, Leek Wootton, Warwick.

Both experienced players and beginners can attend, with separate challenges having been set up for each.

Coffee/tea and bacon rolls will be available on arrival, before the experienced players go on to have a shot gun start.

The format will see teams of four take on 18 hole Better Ball Stableford on the Earls course. There will be prizes for Longest Drive Challenge, Nearest the Pin Par 3 Challenge and Beat the Pro Challenge.

Meanwhile, the beginners will have a golf lesson on the driving range and putting green, plus a Texas scramble game of golf on the nine hole beginners course after lunch.

A two course dinner in the evening will be followed by a presentation to the successful teams and individuals.

Tickets are £150 each.
