Jason Easy, Katie Ball & Ben Lowe are running 6 marathons in 6 days for The Light Fund.
With the clocking ticking down to the start of their epic challenge on April 18, a number of sponsors have come on board to back the 6 in 6 marathon challenge by an industry trio.
Roy Lowe & Sons’ Ben Lowe and Katie Ball and Jason Easy from BBC Worldwide will be tackling the feat to raise money for The Light Fund. The first five marathons will be ran along the Grand Union Canal, which goes from Birmingham to London, with the sixth to be the London Marathon on Sunday, April 23.
Kit for the challenge is kindly being supplied by Scimitar Sports, while Fabric Flavours, TDP, Titan Merchandise, DNC and the Sock Mine are also backing the trio.
Meanwhile, training continues apace (pun intended) with Ben and Katie notching up an impressive 20-mile run at the recent Thames Riverside 20 along the River Thames (main picture) – Katie having already put in a sterling performance the previous day at the Victoria Park half marathon.
Jason, meanwhile, decamped to slightly sunnier climes, fitting in the training while he was in Barbados – at least, he told us he trained; we’re not entirely convinced looking at the picture below.
Ben is keeping a special blog containing training progress – which can be read by clicking here.
