Spectrum teams with Van Gogh Museum on new 50th anniversary collection

Make-up brush tool brand, Spectrum Collections has teamed up with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the museum.

The Spectrum x Van Gogh Museum collection has been inspired by one of the artist’s most famous series of paintings, Sunflowers, and consists of three products – the Sunflowers Makeup Brush Bundle, Sunflowers 7-Piece Brush Set and the Sunflowers Kabuki Brush.

Each vegan-friendly product features the iconic sunflower images from the series, alongside wooden handles and the Dutch artist’s signature, allowing make-up masters and beginners to bring their make-up creations to life.

Talking about the launch of its new collection, Spectrum co-founders and sisters, Hannah and Sophie Pycroft, said: “We’re so excited to be launching another creative collection for Spectrum. It’s been an honour to have been allowed to use Van Gogh’s creations to inspire a new collection to celebrate the museum’s 50th anniversary. His paintings of sunflowers are iconic and to be working alongside the Van Gogh Museum has been an opportunity and experience that we won’t forget.

“Creativity and making luxury and affordable make-up brushes is at the heart of everything we do and we feel this new collection truly does just that.

“We can’t wait to see people create their own make-up masterpieces using this new collection and to end we wanted to share a quote from the famous painter himself which we hope will inspire budding artists everywhere: “Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together”.”
