Sophie la Girafe enters the world of jewellery

The Sophie la Girafe baby and nursery brand is making the move into the jewellery space.

It is joining forces with Ilado Paris – the first French house of maternity jewellery – to create the first Sophie la Girafe jewel.

The two houses wanted to celebrate the unique moment of the arrival of a baby through a collection of 12 ‘symbolic and timeless’ birth medallions.

The character sits at the heart of each 18 carat gold-coated medallion, accompanied by a ‘lucky star’ in the form of a birthstone.

These include garnet, amethyst, aquamarine, zirconium oxide, emerald, pearl, ruby, peridot, sapphire, tourmaline, citrine and topaz, representing each birth month.

Ilado was founded in 2015, becoming the first brand of maternity necklaces.
